Module: Building trial advocacy skills - Trial simulation for newly appointed judges (the eleventh generation)
On July 25, 2024, the Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges of the eleventh generation, conducted a "Trial simulation" in accordance with the content of the training program and delivered by the trainers Mrs. Laura Pula, prosecutor in the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Sultan Dobraj, judge at the Basic Court in Gjakova.
This simulation, required each of the newly appointed judges to develop a practical case and they were assigned roles to perform during the simulation. This trial simulation, advanced the judges’ techniques of delivering the opening statement, the closing statement, direct examination and cross examination, and announcement of the verdict, according to the groups and roles of the case that they were assigned.
The trial simulation was carried out in the premises of the Basic Court in Pristina.
Beneficiaries of the training are 15 newly appointed judges.
