Sub-Module: Family Law; First Session: Family Law, Meaning of Family, Sources of Family Law, Consanguinity and Types of Consanguinity

On July 12 2023, Academy of Justice within the Initial training program for the newly appointed judges of the tenth generation, is conducting the theoretical training under the module on "Family Law" that is carried out by the trainer Mr. Valon Totaj, President of the Appeals Court.

Within the "Family Law" sub-module, the following are being addressed: the meaning and objective of family law, the nature of legal-family relations, the principles and sources of family law, the Kosovo Family Law and the meaning of family.

The training methodology is being implemented with practical cases and through exercises where a judgment is being made within this topic.

Beneficiaries of the training are 29 newly appointed judges including one member from the Bosnian community and one from the Turkish community.
