Sub-module: ECHR; Session five: Procedural safeguards in cases of deprivation of liberty

On July 24, 2023, the Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program, for the newly appointed judges of the tenth generation, is carrying out the theoretical training under the "ECHR" module, held by the trainer Mr. Skender Çoçaj, Judge at the Appeals Court.

This training session is addressing the following aspects: the arrest of a suspect for committing a criminal offense, Article 5 of the ECHR and its application in Kosovo, and cases of violation of Article 5 of the ECHR in Kosovo - "Executive orders".

The training methodology is interactive discussions method and practical cases.

Beneficiaries of the training are 29 newly appointed judges including one member from the Bosnian community and one from the Turkish community.
