Sub-module: Juvenile Justice Code; Fourth session - General provisions that characterize the criminal procedure against minors

On July 6, 2023, the Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges of the tenth generation is carrying out the theoretical training under the module "Juvenile Justice Code", held by the trainer Mr. Hashim Çollaku, Judge at the Appeals Court.

During this session, the following are being addressed: the age of criminal responsibility, the urgency of the procedure and the expedited deadlines, the adjudication cannot be made in absence of the minor, the principle of confidentiality and opportunity and the deprivation of liberty as a last resort and the characteristics of detention.

The training methodology is interactive discussions method and practical cases.

Beneficiaries of the training are 29 newly appointed judges including one member from the Bosnian community and one from the Turkish community.
