Sub-module: Juvenile Justice Code; Session Five: Preparatory Procedure, Arrest, Police Custody, Detention and Trial and Court Decisions

On January 26, 2023, Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for the second group of newly appointed judges, the ninth generation, held a theoretical training under the module "Juvenile Justice Code" with trainer Mrs. Nesrin Lushta, judge at the Supreme Court.

During this training session the following were addressed: the police criminal report, the beginning and duration of the preparatory procedure, not starting the preparatory procedure (principle of opportunity), the suspension of the preparatory procedure, arrest, police detention, detention, the meaning of detention, the appointment of detention towards minors and the course of the detention procedure and the form of the detention decision.

The training methodology is application of case-based interactive discussions method.

Beneficiaries of the training are 18 newly appointed judges, including a judge of the Bosnian community.
