
Criminal Justice Response to Firearms Trafficking
On September 9, 2025, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime - UNODC - Global Firearms Program, is conducting the training “Criminal Justice Response to Firearms Trafficking”.
The trainers engaged in this activity are Mr. Agim Maliqi, Judge at the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Mr. Afrim Shala, Judge at the Supreme Court of Kosovo and Mr. Shqipdon Fazliu, Prosecutor at the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor.
Purpose of this training is to extend participants knowledge about the exchange of experiences and the identification of needs for support in implementing provisions on firearms in the Criminal Code. The special feature of this training is publication of the Commentary on Firearms Offenses in the Criminal Code, Special Investigative Measures, and a Summary of Selected Cases from Judicial Practice Regarding Firearms.
The training methodology is interactive discussions, presentation of issues through cases, in order to fully achieve the objectives of this training.
Beneficiaries of this training are Prosecutors from the Appeals Court, Judges and Prosecutors from the Basic instance and Professional Associates.
