Specialized Training Program - Domestic Violence

On February 14 and 15, 2023, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with UNDP, within the framework of the Continuous Training Program, is conducting the Training on: "Specialized Training Program - Domestic Violence".

Trainers engaged in this training are: Mr. Faton Ademi, judge at the Court of Appeal, Mrs. Shenaj Berisha, prosecutor in the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pristina, as well as Mr. Alban Krasniqi, lawyer.

The purpose of this training is for the participants to advance basic knowledge regarding the legal provisions related to domestic violence, the investigation and follow-up of cases of domestic violence.

Also, participants had the opportunity to become familiar with the digital platform LEXDOKS, which in the future will serve users to do legal research and quick access to all documents of legislation and judicial practice of the Republic of Kosovo, making them electronically searchable, easily accessible and convenient.

The training methodology is of a combined character with theoretical explanations and interactive discussions, followed by practical cases.

Beneficiaries of this training are: judges from the Basic Courts, prosecutors from the Chief State Prosecutor's Office, prosecutors from the Basic Prosecutor's Office, officials for protection of victims as well as officials for social services.
