Training program in non-judicial institutions – visit of the newly appointed judges in the Constitutional Court

June 20th 2025, Academy of Justice within its program for visits to non-judicial institutions for the newly appointed judges organized a visit to the Constitutional Court.

In its opening remarks, President of the Constitutional Court Mr. Nexhmi Rexhepi initially welcomed the new judges and acknowledged purpose of this visit and at the same time appreciated the cooperation with the Academy of Justice.

The judges were extensively presented the jurisdiction and function of the Constitutional Court by Mr. Dukagjin Abdyli the First Deputy Constitutional Counselor. It was also discussed on the questions that were of interest for the judges, like the incidental referral of cases by regular courts, criteria for a timely trial, the reasoning as part of the right to a fair trial, and the CC judgments as precedence for other cases.

The training/ visit aimed to strengthen the capacitates and exchange of good practices using an interactive discussions training methodology.

Beneficiaries of the training are the newly appointed judges - generation XII.
