Training Program at non-judicial institutions: Visit by Newly Appointed Judges to the Correctional Service

On September 22, 2026, as part of the program of visits to non-judicial institutions for judges of the 14th and 15th generations, a visit was conducted to the High-Security Prison. The newly appointed judges were welcomed by the Director, Mr. Rasim Selmani, who greeted them and commended the purpose of the visit. He highly valued the cooperation with the Academy of Justice and proceeded to outline the institution's mandate, history, and challenges. The Director and other representatives of the institution shared information with the newly appointed judges, briefing them on operations at the high-security prison, the treatment of inmates, the facility's conditions, and the implementation of procedures. The newly appointed judges had the opportunity to view the premises firsthand, including the cell blocks, living quarters, visitor areas, the intelligence unit, the medical unit where inmates receive care, and the assessment and classification unit. The participants in this visit included 19 newly appointed judges from the 14th generation, and 18 from the 15th generation that includes two members from the Serbian community.
