Training Program in Non-Judicial Institutions – Visit of Newly Appointed Prosecutors to the High-Security Prison – Generation XI

On November 19, 2025, as part of the practical training component with non-judicial institutions, the eleventh generation of newly appointed prosecutors conducted a study visit to the High-Security Prison of the Kosovo Correctional Service in Dyz.

The prosecutors were welcomed by the Director, Mr. Rasim Selmani, who expressed his appreciation for the purpose of the visit and highlighted the strong cooperation with the Academy of Justice. He provided an overview of the institution’s mandate, history, and key challenges.

During the visit, the Director and other representatives of the institution briefed the newly appointed prosecutors on the operations of the high-security prison, including inmate management, treatment standards, facility conditions, and the implementation of relevant procedures.

The prosecutors also had the opportunity to observe various sections of the institution firsthand, including the wards, residential areas, visitor halls, intelligence unit, outpatient clinic, and the assessment and classification unit.

The beneficiaries of this visit were 24 newly appointed state prosecutors.
