Workshop: Justice versus personal data protection
On February 21, 2023, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with the Information and Privacy Agency and EULEX within the Continuous Training Program are conducting the workshop on "Justice versus personal data protection".
Panelists engaged in this workshop are: Gzim Shala, Monitor/Researcher, Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD), Mexhide Demolli, Executive Director, FOL Movement and Blerta Iberdemaj, Legal and Monitoring/Research Officer, BIRN.
The purpose of this workshop is to advance the knowledge of the participants regarding the Constitutional and legal Framework for the protection of personal data, the Standards built by the European Court for Human Rights in this field; Basic concepts of the Personal Data Protection Law, the role of the Agency and judicial protection.
The methodology of the workshop is of a combined character with theoretical explanations and interactive discussions, presenting also practical cases.
Beneficiaries of this workshop are: Judges, prosecutors, professional associates, legal officers, Police Inspectorate, Kosovo police, representatives from civil society, information officer from KJC, courts and prosecutions, as well as representatives from the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
