The Role of the Juvenile Prosecutor and Judge in Imposing Criminal Sanctions

On June 2, 2026, the Academy of Justice, within the Continuous Training Program, held the training titled “The Role of the Juvenile Prosecutor and Judge in Imposing Criminal Sanctions.”

The training is delivered by Ms. Albina Shabani Rama, Judge at the Court of Appeal, and Mr. Shpetim Peci, Prosecutor at the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovica.

Its purpose is to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in analyzing practical challenges, clarifying the role of the juvenile prosecutor in proceedings against minors, and understanding the court’s responsibilities in imposing educational measures and criminal sanctions.

The program will follow an interactive methodology, combining discussions with practical case studies.

Beneficiaries of this training include juvenile judges, juvenile prosecutors, officials from the Probation Service, and victim advocates.
