Meeting with the President of the Court of Appeal

on 30 of June 2026, the Executive Director of the Academy of Justice, together with the Director of the Training Programs Department, held a meeting with the President of the Court of Appeal, Mr. Valon Totaj, and associates, as part of the training needs assessment process for the drafting of the Training Program for 2027.

During the meeting, the priorities and training needs for judges of the Court of Appeal were discussed, where the need to organize more training activities in the civil field was assessed, especially in family and property matters. The importance of organizing discussion tables and workshops for handling cases from the judicial practice of the Court of Appeal was also emphasized.

The meeting also identified the need for more training in the field of cybercrime and the handling of electronic evidence, as areas of particular importance for advancing the professional knowledge of judges.

The meeting ended with the confirmation of readiness to continue cooperation between the Academy of Justice and the Court of Appeal in order to advance the knowledge of judges and strengthen the quality of the judicial system.
