Terrorism and Violent Extremism

The Academy of Justice in cooperation with the Balkan Network for Investigative Journalism (BIRN) with the support of GCERF, are conducting the roundtable on "Violent Extremism and Terrorism".

Trainers engaged in this activity are: Mrs. Fikrije Fejzullahu, Prosecutor in the Special Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Luan Keka, Anti-Terrorizm Unit of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Nexhdet Haxhaj, Directorate against Terrorism - Kosovo Police and Mr. Arsim Tahiri, Director of Probation Service.

Purpose of this training is to extend the participants knowledge regarding right-wing and religious extremism, the identification of criminal acts of terrorism and their arguments, as well as the advancement of communication in the system in cases of extremism and terrorism.

The training methodology is of a combined character with theoretical explanations and interactive discussions, also presenting practical cases.

Beneficiaries are: Judges from the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Judges from the Appeals Court, Judges from the Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina, Prosecutors from the Appeals Prosecution, SPRK, and Basic Prosecutions.
