Training of Trainers on HELP Methodology

On 15 November 2023, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with the Council of Europe is organizing a Training of Trainers on HELP methodology aiming to prepare future trainers in accessing and benefiting from the online courses on e-learning on the Counsel of Europe platform

The purpose of this training of Trainers is to prepare the participants regarding HELP courses and equip them with the necessary skills, so they can become successful trainers of the HELP courses, according to their context. This training focuses on the HELP methodology on legal professionals and on the on the online courses of HELP.

HELP training of trainer’s sessions are one of the supporting instruments of national justice institutions such as Academy of Justice, Chamber of Advocates and other stakeholders, providing higher education for legal professionals. Initially, the HELP online courses are designed as model courses in English language than translated and adapted with the legal order and national practices.

After completion of the ToT, participants will be able to:

Understand the HELP program and its mission; Understand the role of HELP trainers in the implementation of HELP courses; Adapt the HELP courses to the local legal order, as well as to the needs of the focused audience; Hold HELP courses (usually a course consists of face-to-face meetings and then 2-3 months of online courses moderated by a HELP trainer); Use HELP' distance learning platform to moderate HELP courses and distribute resources; Support the participants of their courses in using the HELP distance learning platform. The entire training is being moderated and led by two experts of the Council of Europe: Mrs. Giulia Lo-Presti, coordinator of the EU-EC Project "Judicial Training for the Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights", Division HELP, Council of Europe and Mrs. Jasminka Peruničić - Allen, Senior Project Officer/HELP in the Western Balkans, Council of Europe

Beneficiaries of the training are Judges, Prosecutors, Lawyers and Private Bailiffs.
