Training on contract management and the contractor’s performance through e-procurement

On October 12, 2023, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with the Regulatory Commission of Public Procurement in Kosovo have conducted the training on the topic: "Management of the contract and evaluation of the contractor’s performance through the e-procurement system".

This training is dedicated to the staff of the Academy of Justice, the Public Procurement Review Body and the Civil Aviation Authority of Kosovo, and it was delivered by Mr. Osman Bytyçi, Head of the Monitoring Division at RCPP and trainer in the public procurement field.

The purpose of this training was to familiarize with the e-procurement system platform, which facilitates contract managers from public institutions to manage the contract and evaluate the performance of contractors.

The training initially focused on the necessary explanations regarding the monitoring of contracts, the creation of the document of the contract management plan, the updated plan, the management of the execution of contracts, invoices including other specifics such as the conclusion of the contract, termination, orders according to centralized contracts and management of small tenders.

The evaluation of the contractor’s performance, the process of evaluation of a contract, the modification of the contract evaluation, the approval and monitoring of the contractor’s performance of were also addressed.

In the afternoon session, the platform and its functionality were demonstrated through modules designed for contract management and evaluation of contractors' performance through the e-procurement system. During this training, legal issues and best practices regarding contract management in public procurement were also discussed.

Participants in this training were about 30 procurement officials, officials responsible and in charge of contract management from these three (3) Contracting Authorities, who at the end of the training were issued with certificates of participation.
