
Regional Judicial Training on Electronic Evidence
From 1 to 4 April 2025, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, judges from Kosovo Mr. Burim Ademi, Judge at the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Mr. Vaton Durguti, Judge at the Court of Appeal and Mr. Nikollë Komani, Judge at the Basic Court, Gjakova, participated at the "Regional Judicial Training on Electronic Evidence" carried out within the framework of the joint CyberSEE Project with the European Union and the Council of Europe.
This initiative has emerged as a direct response to the needs identified during the Regional Workshop on Judicial Training held in October 2024. This initiative aims to further develop judicial skills in handling electronic evidence, respond to the increased complexity of cybercrime cases, and strengthen the capacity of judicial systems to manage these cases. The training provided essential knowledge on handling and processing electronic evidence within the legal framework and addressing new legal challenges associated with cybercrime Based on the rapid evolution of the cybercrime phenomenon and the challenges that this phenomenon is posing every day, the development of skills to manage electronic evidence has become a priority issue. Therefore. as a result, participants were trained to understand and handle electronic evidence within the legal framework so that they are better prepared to also address the legal complexities of cybercrime.
An additional focus of the training was to build the capacity of participants to share their expertise and act as trainers in future local judicial training activities. This is also in line with the broader objective of cultivating sustainable expertise within the region, enhancing long-term judicial responses to cybercrime.
