On 20th March 2009, a delegation from the Kosovo Judicial Institute (hereafter the KJI), comprised of the President of the KJI Managing Board, Director and Special Adviser of the OSCE to the KJI, was hosted by the President of the Republic of Kosovo.
The purpose of this meeting was to inform the President about the course of the Initial Program for Legal Education (PFAL), a program which is currently being followed by the candidates for the future judges and prosecutors.
During this meeting, the President as the final authority for the appointment of future judges and prosecutors of Kosovo, promised that he will constantly support the Kosovo Judicial Institute in the implementation of PFAL and professional capacity building of future judges and prosecutors and that he will appoint only those candidates that have undergone the required professional preparation.
The delegation of the Kosovo Judicial Institute, assured the President that the KJI as the only competent body for the administration of the legal education programs, has also focused all its strengths and activities in this direction, among which is also the Initial Legal Education Program (training program for the candidates for future judges prosecutors).
