On July 9, 2012, KJI organized a roundtable discussion on the topic “Novelties of the Criminal Code of Kosovo..
As a result of this training participants will be able to:
• Become familiar with the amendments of the Criminal Code of Kosovo,
• Identify the new criminal offences which are included in the new Criminal Code,
• Distinguish the severity of penalties which are included in the new Criminal Code;
During this roundtable issues concerning the novelties brought by the Criminal Code of Kosovo were addressed. During the discussions it was highlighted that the new Criminal Code has 5 more chapters than the previous criminal code as well as that has 150 more articles, which sanctioned a number of criminal offenses which were not part of the previous criminal code.
The beneficiaries of this training were the presidents of the courts and chief-prosecutors of the prosecution offices from all the regions of Kosovo.
