On June 28 and 29, 2012 in Budva, Montenegro, was held a conference on the topic “Making the Framework for an Integrated Legal Education in the Region of Southeast Europe”. The focus of the meeting was the establishment of a forum of cooperation between the Regional Network for Judicial Training (RNJT) and the Network of the Law Faculty of Eastern European Countries (SEELS). Objectives of the conference were: • Creating a common forum of cooperation between RNJT and SEELS to establish principles and mechanisms for an integrated legal education in Eastern Europe; • Identifying the priority areas for cooperation and exchange of experience regarding the capacity of judicial trainings; • Establishment of regional cooperation and exchange of information, experiences and best practices related to legal education against corruption; • General advancement of knowledge and expertise at the regional level in relevant areas. The conference addressed and made concrete proposals which were of common interest for both networks RNJT and SEELS. Participants agreed on a mid-term cooperation in the regional plan according to the fields and topics to which the parties will agree. As a result of this meeting is also the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the RNJT and SEELS, which was signed by the heads of the two networks. Kosovo Judicial Institute at this conference was represented by the Program Coordinator Lumnije Krasniqi. Participants of the conference were representatives of Training Institutions and of Law Faculties from Eastern European Countries.

On June 28, 2012, KJI conducted the next training session on the topic “Ensuring the Law-Suit”.

As a result of this training participants will be able to:
• Distinguish cases when the law-suit should be allowed to be ensured.
• Apply in practice the insurance of the law-suit.
• Distinguish the deadlines within which should be decided upon the submitted request.
• Compare the provisions of the Execution Procedure and Law on Contested Procedure regarding the insurance of law-suit institute.

The training addressed novelties that the LCP contains regarding the insurance of law-suit institute compared to previous legal solution. Basic characteristics of the insurance procedure were also reviewed, the comparison between the provisions of the LCP and the LEP provisions related to insurance of the law-suit institute, temporary insurance measures. Also cases from the national case-law presenting the models of judicial decisions that were of interest to participants were addressed. The beneficiaries of this training were civil court judges at all levels and from all regions of Kosovo.
