Implementation of the Sanctioning Policy Guideline, unification of practice for measuring punishment
On June 11, 2024, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with the US-DOJ/OPDAT, within the Continuous Training Program, are conducting the roundtable on Implementation of the Guidelines for penal policy, unification of practice for the measurement of punishment.
Trainers engaged in this roundtable are: Mr. Agim Maliqi, judge at the Supreme Court, Mr. Agron Qalaj, prosecutor in the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, and Mrs. Benina Kusari, Senior Legal Specialist, US Embassy, Pristina.
The purpose of this event is to extend the participants knowledge regarding the proper implementation of the methods for measuring the punishment by all judges, but at the same time so that the prosecutors and the defense attorneys of the victims can contribute to the illumination of the circumstances before the court that would affect the measurement right to punishment.
The training methodology is of a combined character with theoretical explanations and interactive discussions, also presenting practical cases.
Beneficiaries are judges from the Basic Courts and the Special Department and Prosecutors from the Basic Prosecution Offices.
