International seminar "Protecting the unaccompanied minors who commit criminal offenses within an organized criminal network"
On June 19 and 21, 2024, in Roubaix, France upon the invitation of the European Union's Justice Programme, Ms. Kadrije Bicaj, Mrs. Kadrije Bicaj, Senior Training Officer in the Program Division of the Justice Academy, Mrs. Lumnije Krasniqi and Mrs. Donika Shala, Judges at the Basic Court in Prishtina, Mrs. Mimoza Shala, Prosecutor in the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pristina and Mr. Shpëtim Peci, Prosecutor in the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Mitrovica, participated in the international Seminar "Protection of unaccompanied minors who commit criminal offenses within an organized criminal network". Purpose of this seminar was to ensure the effectiveness of child-friendly justice, in accordance with European directives that are part of the European Union's strategy for children's rights. Paying special attention to children, namely unaccompanied minors, who are the main target of organized crime networks and human trafficking. Representatives from justice institutions that have faced these issues, with a multidisciplinary approach, participated in this seminar: judges, prosecutors, lawyers, academics and representatives of associations from different countries.
